Ranka Lee is a lively and cheerful green-haired teenage girl who is short for her age and lives in the Macross Frontier Space Colonization Fleet during the events of the series which are set in the year 2059 A.D. Ranka is a huge fan of Sheryl Nome, and got tickets to her concert from her brother as a big favor. She loves singing since her childhood and dreams to become a singer. She is one-quarter Zentradi, which gives her the ability to have her hair move on its own according to her feelings, as well as having an above-average resistance to space vacuum. In episode 19, it is revealed that she is in love with Alto Saotome.
